First Presbyterian Church of Homewood/Calvary United Protestant Church in Park Forest (a Yoked congregation), Illinois, is seeking a full-time interim pastor to lead our congregation as we search for an Installed Pastor. This person must be an ordained PC(USA) Minister of Word and Sacrament or ordained as a pastor in a denomination in full communion with the PC(USA). We are located in the South Suburbs of Chicago, and are two congregations of approximately 100 members each.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual and administrative leadership for the congregation
- Lead worship on Sundays and liturgical holidays in person. Our live worship services are recorded and posted on our respective Facebook pages.
- Provide pastoral care for the congregations.
- Work with the Church Administrators to prepare Sunday bulletins
- Serve as moderator of the Sessions and congregational meetings.
- Serve as head of staff
